Most owners already have an accountant, a banker, and perhaps a financial planner, each handling their own part. The larger decisions — selling, buying, financing, stepping back — touch all of those parts at once. This page explains how we approach that, and what to expect from working with us.
Four things stay constant across tax, bookkeeping, fractional CFO, and transaction engagements.
You meet with Brian Lusco at the first conversation and throughout the work, whether at the Simpsonville or Spartanburg office or by video. Where the firm handles your tax and your bookkeeping as well as advisory work, the same person is looking at the same set of books for all of it.
If you have an accountant, banker, attorney, broker, or wealth advisor you want to keep, we coordinate with them directly. Legal work stays with your attorney, lending decisions with your bank, investment management with your investment adviser. Our part is the financial picture that connects them: taxes, the monthly numbers, and the analysis behind a decision.
Nothing starts until a written engagement letter sets out what is included, what we need from you, when it happens, and what it costs. Work that comes up outside the agreed scope is quoted separately rather than appearing on an invoice. Transaction work is quoted by scope.
Ongoing engagements run on a set cadence agreed in the written scope: a monthly working session for fractional CFO clients, a year-end planning conversation for tax clients, a monthly close for bookkeeping clients.
If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so and suggest who might be.
We don’t do everything, and we say so up front. A few things we leave to the right specialist and coordinate with instead.
Send a short message and our office team will follow up to arrange a conversation with Brian. If this isn’t the right firm for your situation, he’ll say so and point you toward someone who is.
